The Hogansville Hummingbird Festival is pleased to announce the fourth annual Miss Hummingbird Festival Pageant, to be held on September 23, 2017, kicking off the Hummingbird Festival season. The winner will be crowned the 2018 Miss Hummingbird Festival and will go on to represent the Hummingbird Festival in the Miss Georgia Pageant. The Miss Hummingbird Festival's Outstanding Teen Pageant is also held at the same time.

The Miss America Organization is a non-profit organization and is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Through the Miss America program, contestants have received thousands of dollars in scholarship assistance. As the local chapter of the Miss America Organization, the Miss Georgia Organization also provides scholarship assistance to local contestants. Nearly $200,000 in in-kind scholarships is available from local colleges including Auburn University, The University of Alabama, and Wesleyan College in Macon. Scholarships are awarded to Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen contestants.
The next Miss Hummingbird Festival Pageant will be held on September 23, 2017. The pageant will be held at 7:00PM at the Troup High School Fine Arts Building. (See map and directions below.) Tickets will be sold at the door for $20.00 (general admission). Reserved seats $25.00.
The winner of the Miss Hummingbird Festival Pageant will go onto to represent the Hummingbird Festival in the Miss Georgia Pageant in June in Columbus. "The Miss Georgia Pageant proudly awards In-Kind Scholarships to Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen contestants." (click here for more info about Miss Georgia in-kind scholarships). The winner of the Miss Georgia Pageant will go on to the National Competition--Miss America! Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 24, be a U.S. Citizen, and live in the state of Georgia. On the same day and location, but earlier in the day at 10:00 AM, the Little Hummingbird Festival Princess Pageant will also be held. The Purpose of this program is to mentor young ladies who have an interest in competing in The Miss Georgia Pageant and to teach the importance of community service. It also serves as a unique fundraiser for the scholarships that are awarded to the Miss Georgia contestants. These winners of the Little Hummingbird Festival Pageants will have the opportunity to participate in the Princess Program at Miss Georgia sponsored by their parents. There are five age groups, from 6 months up to 13 years old.
Tickets for the Little Hummingbird Princess Pageant will be sold at the door for $10.00. Admission for children, 10 years and younger, will be $5.00.
